GTS likely to serves as a launch pad for Toonz’s expansion plans in Europe

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, INDIA: Toonz Animation India has been shortlisted for the Global Tech Showcase (GTS 2008) being held in conjunction with the World Investment Conference in La Brule, France, June 4 to June 6 this year.

The GTS 2008 selection committee selected Toonz Animation India Pvt Ltd after extensive review of over 700 companies.

The committee includes senior executives from leading European companies such as Siemens, T-Mobile, British Telecom, SAP, ST Microelectronics, Burda, and Bouygues Telecom, said the company here.

Hosted by EuroStart Capital Partners LLC, a San Francisco-based venture fund, the GTS 2008 would offer the opportunity for the most promising companies from around the world to launch and accelerate their business in Europe.

GTS 2008 will take place in conjunction with the World Investment Conference that will feature hundreds of corporate and political leaders from firms such as Sony, Freescale, EDF, Nokia, BT, Total, Siemens, as well as government officials and ministers from around Europe.

"This is an excellent opportunity for Toonz to identify potential clients, business partners and investors. GTS 2008's unique format will catalyze immediate revenue ramp-up in Europe," said Jean-Bernard Guerree, managing director at EuroStart.
