BANGALORE,INDIA: Spirent Communications, a global provider of performance analysis and service management solutions, today announced the launch of Spirent Avalanche/290.

This is a portable load testing solution that empowers corporate IT managers to characterize their network prior to deployment to ensure it meets the most rigorous security, capacity, performance and end-user Quality of Experience (QoE) demands, said a press release.

This highly versatile and cost-effective unit helps enterprises better understand the cost-risk analysis of a network upgrade before delivering a new service or committing to customer service level agreements (SLAs), it added.

"IT managers are under increasing pressure to manage networks that reliably and securely deliver on-demand services to employees and customers," said Ahmed Murad, general manager, Multimedia Applications at Spirent Communications.

He added that Spirent Avalanche/290 would offer enterprises an economical option to reduce the risks and cost associated with a network outage due to a security lapse or performance limitations, while ensuring optimal performance and access.

Spirent Avalanche enables network managers to comprehensively test Layer 4-7 application traffic at various points in their network.

It simulates up to 250,000 users and line rate Gigabit Ethernet Layer 4-7 traffic, delivering the required testing functionality and capacity for a large enterprise, the release said.
