I had some doubts. If someone steals a laptop, first thing he will do is to format it. What measures have been taken, so that the above Locate Laptop software is not removed? Moreover, just an on the fly idea, but cant something be done to remove the necessity of an internet connection? Perhaps by using RFID as pointed by Sudhir. cheers, Sameer IIT Guwahati
