Prepare for IT industrys recovery: Kris

CHENNAI, INDIA: Infosys CEO and managing director Kris Gopalakrishnan opined that the IT industry would show positive signs of recovery by mid-2010.

“We have to be cautious and have to wait to understand that the recovery is real. I strongly believe the revival is happening We have to invest wisely and do a few good things and prepare for the recovery,” Kris said while interacting with at the media here on the sidelines of Nasscom’s human resources’ conference, which was inaugurated on Tuesday.

Kris also said queries on growth revival would be much clearer by the middle of next year. Growth would mainly come from developed countries, which are having higher GDP.

While talking about the recovery of the world economy, Kris said, “It is better to wait and understand that the recovery is real and will sustain.”

Infosys is looking at new markets like China, Middle East, South America and Latin America with a host of new services, said the Infosys CEO. The company is also looking at acquisition opportunities, he added.
