The value-added program in tie-up with Tech Pacific aims to target SMBs

MUMBAI, INDIA: In a bid to attract new resellers across India, Oracle India initiated a Value Added Distributor (VAD) Remarketer Program with its distributor, Tech Pacific (India) Limited in Mumbai. Tech Pacific is a subsidiary of Ingram Micro Incorporation, USA.

This program allows Tech Pacific to resell Orcale technology products via its resellers' network across India, where the reseller is not required to join the Oracle Partner Network (OPN).

Further, it facilitates the resellers in selling Oracle products and extend the Oracle portfolio to their customers without any prior financial investments.

While, Tech Pacific will offer support, training and other services to reseller. Moveover, Oracle will be use the 1-CLICK ORDERING Programs, an online product ordering system, for faster order processing and to save time.

This program includes various product category such as Oracle Database Personal Edition, Oracle Database Standard Edition, oracle Database Standard Edition One, Oracle Application Server Standard Edition, Oracle Application Server Standard Edition One, Oracle Business Intelligence Standard Edition One, Oracle Weblogic Server Standard Edition, Oracle Universe Content Management Standard Edition, Oracle Document Capture and Oracle Internet Developer Suite.

According to Sukhdeep Singh, senior director, Distribution and Commercial Channels Sales, Oracle Asia Pacific, the program is for making it easier and more profitable for resellers to market available Oracle technology products to mid-size businesses (SMBs).

And he added that the partners and resellers largely caters to SMBs and midsize organizations to meet the needs of hardware and software.

"Now with zero entry barrier the resellers which are not registered with us can now easily join Oracle and sell its products.1- CLICK ORDERING Program is between Oracle and Tech Pacific, which will simplify the processing of orders and provider faster shipments," said Singh.

On this occasion, Sanjay Achawal, director, Enterprise Business Group, Tech Pacific (India) Limited said, "This joint initiative is to target SMB market in India. And with the addition of Oracle's portfolio, the resellers can help its customers with hardware as well as software solutions.

"We are bridging the gap between the vendors and the users. With our business-2-business (b2b) model with the help of resellers we are reaching out the SMBs."
