NEW DELHI, INDIA: State-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has announced the introduction of three tablet PCs in the Indian market, which includes low-cost tablet priced at Rs. 3,250. BSNL has forged an alliance with Noida-based Pantel for new PCs.
The other two tablet models are priced at Rs. 10,999 and Rs. 13,500. The company has started prebooking of new tablets. These would be bundled with special data plans and 3G services from BSNL.
The low cost Penta T-PAD IS701R comes with inbuilt RAM, 3G dongle support, WiFi and 0.3 MP camera. The overall storage can be expanded to 32 GB using microSD card. With Android 2.3 Gingerbread, all the three tablets have one-year warranty.
BSNL is offering 5GB data usage plan for Rs. 750 on 3G while 7.5 GB data for Rs. 250 on GPRS/EDGE.
