NComputing to expand business in India

MUMBAI, INDIA: NComputing Inc., a desktop virtualization company with millions of users all over the world, is bullish about its business growth in India.

“By 2010, we intend to more than double our staff strengths in India to address more markets and create more dealers. We also by 2011, are expecting to manufacture our products in India to create more local value added content within our technology,” Stephen Dukker, NComputing Inc.'s chairman and CEO told CyberMedia News in Mumbai.

“As we have become larger and more well-known, third party companies like LG Electronics, the famous monitor company, has already introduced in India the product they call network monitor which incorporates NComputing technology and this dramatically extends our access to dealers and users throughout the country,” Dukker added.

Currently, India is the second largest market for NComputing only after the US. Already, the company is in the forefront in education sector and closely working with various state governments and business organizations.

“India has been a perfect market for Ncomputing because of both lower cost and the lower operating expenses on power consumption. Because of tremendous growth of businesses within India and the investments here in the educational infrastructure, the country within just two years has become our second largest market,” he explained.

NComputing has been a key partner with states like Maharashtra, Andra Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and others in providing affordable and low-cost workstations for spreading computer literacy among rural masses. Apart from the education sector, the company wants to tap the financial and manufacturing sectors to market its technology.
