MakeMyTrip strengthens tech, product teams

Amit Somani joins as chief products officer while Mukesh Singh assumes the role of senior vice president - Technology Development

BANGALORE, INDIA: MakeMyTrip, a player in the Indian online travel space, has kick-started the new year by enhancing the senior leadership team. The company has recently announced that Amit Somani has joined as chief products officer while Mukesh Singh has assumed the role of senior vice president - Technology Development.

Commenting on these developments, Deep Kalra, CEO and founder, MakeMyTrip.com said, “As we consolidate our strengths, we will continue to maintain our competitive edge by investing in resources - this includes technology, infrastructure and as importantly, best-in-industry talent. I welcome Amit and Mukesh to MakeMyTrip.”

Somani, who will head online products, has more than fifteen years of experience, including working with IBM and Google.

Meanwhile in the new role, Singh will oversee the technological evolution of MakeMyTrip. Singh has over 11 years of experience, having worked with Zoesis, eGain Communications, Sumtotal System, Timeline Studios and Amazon.
