On record 9+ hrs, actual work hours go beyond 10+ hrs. I agree with the last para "when employee is stressed results in lower productivity".

In our company we end up working around 11-12 hrs a day. Though the mgmt do not puts this on paper, we had to finish our daily work which will get over only by 8-9pm. It is very difficult to manage work and family.
