GlobalLogic expands R&D service to Latin America

NEW DELHI, INDIA: GlobalLogic, a provider in global software R&D services, is expanding its footprint to Latin America by opening a new software R&D center in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

GlobalLogic's Argentina based center would specialize in supporting GlobalLogic’s proven multi-shore global R&D model, said a press release.

The center blends software R&D experience and knowledge of distributed Agile methods with a mix of Spanish and English language skills, and would help the company expand its client base in North America and Europe.

"Globalizing product innovation has come of age as both emerging and established technology companies are embracing global innovation for their increasingly global products supported by companies like GlobalLogic," said Peter Harrison, CEO of GlobalLogic.

He added, “Argentina is a logical next step for our strategy of creating distinguished innovation clusters and networks for optimizing our clients’ R&D operations and enhancing their go-to-market strategies.

U.S.-based GlobalLogic has rapidly grown into a leadership position in the sector by creating unique centers of excellence and connecting them into distinguished innovation clusters based on the markets that they serve, said the release.

Argentina, with over 100 higher education institutions, a rapidly growing software industry and talent pool, US time zones and high quality of English language skills, is uniquely positioned to become part of GlobalLogic’s Global Innovation clusters supporting R&D operations for its over 150 clients. GlobalLogic already has a presence in USA, India, UK, Ukraine, China and Israel, the release added.
