It was not the clean image that refrained infosys from buying satyam. It was the uncertainity in its accounts and the contingent liability in the form of class action suits by investors and the upaid case. Mahindra took the risk and because we see the stock market as an indicator ... we feel that he has hit the jackpot ... may be he has or may be has not .... only time will tell. Infosys has excess staff which it is trying to trim ... and in such a situation taking over satyam just for the sake of human resources does not sound prudent. They did not have the guts to be truthful ... they were lying when they were saying there was no retrenchment. If it is for the sake of quality staff, they would have been available without having to take over satyam ... with the dilemma they were in .. they would even have joined infosys at a reduced pay. The problem is that no one tells the truth to enable us to make a right decision. Big liars. The louder the mouth, the greater the lie ... See Mr. Pai ...
