In June this year, Facebook attracted a total of 340 million unique visitors globally, trailing only Google, Microsoft and Yahoo sites, the report said, citing latest results from market research firm comScore. It said Facebook grew 157 per cent in the past year alone, gaining 208 million visitors. The social networking website surged past Amazon in August last year in terms of worldwide unique visitors. In the first half of this year, it beat eBay, AOL and Wikimedia Foundation sites.
Recently Facebook had announced that it has over 250 million users and the user base is still growing. While Google, Microsoft and Yahoo are much ahead of Facebook, its rival MySpace has not found place in the top-10 list of comScore.
