NEW DELHI: More than 10.5 kg of amphetamine stimulants were recovered on Monday from a Sector 63, Noida-based BPO following a Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) raid, a newspaper reported today.

According to the report on the website of the Times of India, two persons, including the editor of a local news channel, were arrested in this connection.

NCB officials are on the lookout for the CEO of the BPO.

The drugs were to be smuggled to US cities using a courier service. More investigations are on, the report added.

Amphetamine is a prescription CNS stimulant commonly used to treat attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder in adults and children.

It is also used to treat symptoms of traumatic brain injury and the daytime drowsiness symptoms of narcolepsy and chronic fatigue syndrome.

Abuse of this drug can lead to tremor, restlessness, changed sleep patterns, anxiety, nausea, irregular heart rate, etc.
