Defiance Tech plans to set up CoE

MUMBAI, INDIA: Defiance Tech, the leading provider of engineering, manufacturing and enterprise (EME) solutions is keen to expand its domain knowledge and technology expertise by developing Center of Excellence (CoE).

According to Definace Tech’s chief executive officer, Subu Subramanian, the company has mutually agreed in-principle with Dassault Systèmes to establish the CoE, which will be industry vertical specific in the domains of aerospace, automotive and manufacturing.

“The CoE will have three core parts – leadership, solutions and expansion of customer. For leadership, we already have selected a team of experts, which has domain expertise and knowledge in the specific areas,” Subramanian told CyberMedia News on Thursday.

“Solutions will provide access to products and resources, while the expansion of customers will help in engaging more customers and offering designing solutions,” he said.

Further he explained that the CoE will come up in the locations where the industry verticals are highly dominated.

“For instance, Pune city, which has high presence of automotive industry, will have CoE for automotive domain. Similarly, Bangalore will have CoE for aerospace industry, whereas, the CoE for manufacturing is likely to come up in Chennai,” he added.

The Hinduja Group company purely focuses on serving three domains – engineering, manufacturing and enterprise – using the Global Delivery Model (GDM). It offers shop-floor to top-floor integration solutions for enhancing productivity and efficiency.

According to Subramaniam, the investment and resources for the CoE are yet to be finalized. However, both the companies have agreed to the plan of sharing knowledge and industry expertise. He also hinted that the process for the CoE will take shape in the next two quarters.

“It will help in reaching out to customers’ requirements using technology and addressing business problems as well as opportunities,” Subramanian concluded. Defiance Tech presently serves 150 global customers.
