NEW DELHI, INDIA: One of the Asia’s leading voice-blogging companies Bubble Motion has launched the new Bubbly social voice application for iPhone in India. This application is free for download for initial 30 days while subscribers will have to pay one-time $2.99 for using premium features such as to follow celebrities.
The application allows users to share their voice updates with followers and friends. The company also plans its rollout in Japan, Indonesia and Philippines soon. The microblogging company has already tied up with operators such as Vodafone, Bharti Airtel and Reliance Communications.
President and CEO of Bubble Motion Thomas Clayton said that Bubbly is a new viral voice communication platform, and the application market in Asia is growing rapidly. Bubble Motion is focusing on India, but it feels that the smartphone penetration is relatively low.
The company is also developing application for Android market, which it says will be rolled out in March, this year. “We have a scalable system that delivers millions of voice messages instantly,” Clayton added.
The company said that it has robust data and analytics engine for mapping the social graph. With 15 million subscribers in Asia, Bubble Motion said that they are focusing on increasing user-base in India.
Company’s investors include SingTel, Sequoia Capital, Comcast and Northgate Capital. The voice bloggers in India include: Amitabh Bachchan, Emraan Hashmi, Priyanka Chopra, Lara Dutta, Sonu Nigam, John Abraham and R Madhvan.
