BANGALORE, INDIA: Bharti Airtel Ltd, India's leading mobile phone operator with about 110 million customers, expects to reach a total of 200 million in less than three years, chief executive Manoj Kohli said on Tuesday.
Kohli said Bharti expects its monthly subscriber additions of 3 million to be unaffected by rising competition.
Kohli also said Bharti would not respond to rivals' moves and had its own strategies.
"We are very clear; we will maintain, if not enhance, market leadership," he told reporters in Bangalore.
"New players have nothing but tariffs to offer," he said responding to a question about an ongoing tariff war in the Indian telecom sector.
