NEW DELHI, INDIA: After the Mumbai terror strikes, anti-India elements in Pakistan are now planning an attack on Indian computer networks, PTI reported quoting intelligence agencies in the country.
The sources said Pakistani hackers are already trying out a dry run against Indian networks through popular websites registered there after the Mumbai terror strikes.
"Every time the relations between the two countries dampen, Pakistanis start attacking Indian computer networks and this has increased after the Mumbai terror attacks," the news agency quoted a Home Ministry source as saying.
Security agencies say that Pakistani hackers have created websites such as the www.songs.pk, which are infested with software to hack data from the targeted computers and many Indians are downloading stuff from these websites daily without knowing the danger.
With these websites the hackers can get access to lakhs of computers in a few minutes. The anti-virus software, too, cannot work in such situation as the virus used in such cyber wars are usually new and the anti-virus software cannot identity and detect it, the PTI report said.
So, after the Mumbai terror, are we facing a cyber terror from the anti-socials? Don't you think the global village without geographical boundaries should be spared from such criminal onslaughts?
