BANGALORE, INDIA: British Telecommunications, a provider in communications and wholly-owned subsidiary of BT Group, announced recently that it has completed the accreditation training requirements to be appointed platinum channel Business Partner for Avaya in Asia Pacific.

Avaya, a provider in enterprise communications systems, has recognized BT's expertise in consulting, configuring and selling Avaya solutions in Asia Pacific through this accreditation. This accreditation is in addition to BT's Avaya global gold status, said a press release.

BT attained platinum status by completing the accreditation training requirements and meeting Avaya's highest standards in delivering converged communications, measured by levels of business engagement, customer service and professional qualifications, the release added.

"This latest accreditation underlines the strength of our position in the market and our ability to offer customers complete networked infrastructure services and true converged solutions from best-of-breed suppliers like Avaya," said, Michael Boustridge, president, BT Asia Pacific and Americas.

BT has committed to achieving platinum status globally within the next few months to truly support Avaya's products with the highest level of service, said the release.

"Avaya channel business partners play a key role in our go-to-market strategy in Asia Pacific and it is our aim to be all our customers' and channel partners' vendor of choice. Together we align ourselves with customer requirements to provide them with the right solutions that keep them competitive in the marketplace," said,Chee Heng Loon, Avaya's managing director, APAC Channels and Alliances.
