Shaadi.com member unveils, ‘I Too Had A Love Story’, a novel based on real-life incidents

BANGLORE, INDIA: Matrimonial site, Shaadi.com from People Group on Tuesday unveiled the novel "I Too Had A Love Story" written by its member and a Chandigarh-resident Ravinder Singh.

Anupam Mittal, chairman and managing director, People Group and founder of Shaadi.com jointly unveiled the book at a press conference.

The novel is based on real life incidents, it narrates the story of an immortal bond of love between two people who found each other on Shaadi.com. The story revolves around Ravin, a 26-year-old bachelor working with an IT company, who meets Khushi online.

They eventually fall in love and dream of sharing a life together. While the fate had stored something else for them, five days before their engagement; their dreams come crashing down with an unfortunate incident.

Anupam Mittal, chairman and managing director, People Group says, "It takes a lot for someone to share his innermost feelings and Ravinder has literally poured his heart out in his debut novel.”

“Through his book, 'I Too Had A Love Story', he has beautifully portrayed various emotions on life and love, its trials and tribulations, victory and defeat. Only a person who has loved and lost, can pen such an emotional story,” he added.

“I Too Had A Love Story is a work of fiction with incidents drawn from real life and is dedicated to the loving memory of the girl whom I loved, yet could not marry,” says Ravinder who is working with Infosys, Chandigarh.

“I have decided to channelise major proceeds of the sales towards medical facilities for the underprivileged. With our story, we hope that she and I will be able to light up many lives,” he added. The novel is published by Srishti Publications, is priced at Rs. 100 and would be available across bookstores in India, said a press release.

Though i havent read the book as of now, but from preview it seems to be a good read, and it is a proud moment for Chandigarh Infosys where the author works. I wish all the best to Ravinder for his future writings.
