3i Infotech to set up BPO subsidiary

To provide business process services to the BFSI and Telecom companies in the domestic market

BANGALORE, INDIA: 3i Infotech Limited, a provider of IT solutions, today announced that all its BPO businesses would be managed through 3i Infotech BPO, its wholly owned subsidiary.

3i Infotech BPO is being created as an acknowledgement of this important reality, and would offer end-to-end business process services to the BFSI and Telecom companies in the domestic market, said a press release.

It has its presence across 200+ cities in India, and has a staff strength of nearly 7000.

Anirudh Prabhakaran, executive director and president, South Asia, 3i Infotech Limited said, "We are very happy to announce the setting up of 3i Infotech BPO as part of our go-to-market approach for this important business segment. This would enable us to offer the complete range of business process services to our clients and leverage the growth opportunity in BPO, which is experiencing a new upsurge of activity in the domestic market."

He added that furthermore, this new venture has the advantage of being backed by 3i Infotech, a Rs. 2300 crore company, with its domain and IT services expertise, and its rich experience of handling large scale projects.

The BPO would offer a wide range of services to its clients namely origination and data processing, payroll, finance and accounting, staffing and HR services, customer relationship management, registrar and transfer agency services etc.
