There is always a disagreement between the school of though which feels drastic change is underway and would change everything and other school of thought, which feels things may remain the same. This polarisation of views regarding anything and specially technology would remain all the time. The reality would actually exist somewhere in between. So, it is not completely true that everything will undergo dratic shift, similarly it is also not true that nothing will change. The idea should be to appreciate this dilemma and be ready to change what would and not change will not. There are many such examples from the past like with the advent of CD/ DVD players movie going has come down, but it still exist in a little different format.

I dont agree with Sindhu, especially the part where she mentions the genuity of news reports. In a way she herself points out that its the "staunch print media believers" who considers the genuinity of teh story. In the modern world, bloggers are serious about their credibility. This is more applicable to corporate blogs. I for one, follow corporate blogs rather than lap up the PR fare newspapers provide me.

The fact that corporate blogs are in nascent stage in India is true, but i really doubt if blogging could completely replace a PR agencys media relations capability. If so, in what way could it really bring in this drastic change. Because, staunch print media believers in Chennai still consider the stories in Newspapers to be more genuine than in electronic media. So, its going to take a light year for this sea change to happen.
