Today Symantec employs more than 2,800 staff in India, across R&D, sales, marketing and support. While Ajay will lead sales and business development, engineering functions across development centres in Pune, Chennai and Bangalore will continue to be led by respective business leaders.
Goel brings over 25 years’ engineering and sales leadership experience with some of the world’s leading multinationals, including Cisco Systems, Sun Microsystems and Asea Brown Boveri. At Cisco Systems Goel was the senior vice president for the Industry Business, Strategy and Operations for India and SAARC, and also led Cisco’s Industry Business Council.
Goel holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering, and is an alumnus of Stanford Graduate School of Business, the release added.
