BANGALORE, INDIA: The Bangalore chapter of Project Management Institute (PMI), an organization for project management profession has recently announced their executive committee for 2010-2012. The executive committee of PMI Bangalore chapter for the next two years is lead by P S Ravindranath, president and Sai Naga, secretary and treasurer.
Ravindranath takes over from Amar V. Bhaskar. Amar V. Bhaskar shall continue on the Board as past president, said a press release.
“The vision of the chapter is to include a broader spectrum of the PM community across the sectors like how PM can be applied in the industry sectors such as medical, healthcare, media. Another unique charter of PMI BC is the initiative PM Primer, a program with academic institutions to include PM discipline as a part of the curriculum”, said P S Ravindranath.
“We wish to create additional value for all our members to enrich the PM community. One of the new services would be the start a full-fledge library this year at our new premises. Additionally, our website http://www.pmibangalorechapter.org will be enhanced to represent the next-generation communication model”, he added.
This is a significant move for PMI Bangalore chapter which has positioned PMI BC into a league of proficient professional industry bodies. Ever since its foundation in 1998 as an autonomous, non-profit, membership association dedicated to the science of Project Management (PM), the institute was run by committed PM professionals.
