BANGALORE, INDIA: Internet search giant Google's managing director for APAC operations, Shailesh Rao, has called it quits on February 3.
According to media reports, Rao has joined Twitter as a vice-president for international operations.
He joined Google's California headquarters in March 2005 as director and also spearheaded in theĀ launch of Google Maps and Earth across Western Europe and parts of Asia and Latin America, report added.
Rao holds a Bachelors degree from the University of Pennsylvania, a BS from the Wharton School with a concentration in finance, and an MBA from Kellogg School of Management.
