MUMBAI, INDIA:BIGFlix, a provider in online and offline movie rental service, recently announced the appointment of Pankaj Chandra as the chief lead for its online business.

He would be responsible for driving the performance of online movie rental service at BIGFlix.com, said a press release.

Pankaj would also be spearheading the marketing function for the movie rental service of BIGFlix.com, it added.

Pankaj brings with him over 15 years of experience in media, eCommerce and marketing.

“Our search for a leader to take BIGFlix.com to sustained success has been on for some time. Pankaj was our top choice because of his track record of driving start-up businesses,” said Kamal Gianchandani, chief operating officer, BIGFlix.com.

Pankaj Chandra said, “My journey being a part of various media and online businesses so far has been very exciting and I am really looking forward to my stint with BIGFlix spearheading the online business and marketing activities for the movie rentals business”.

Prior to joining BIGFlix.com, Pankaj was working with Kuoni Travels Group as the vice president - eCommerce. Prior to that he was associated with Sify Ltd as the business head for its e-commerce division, the release said.
