BANGALORE, INDIA: Bharti Airtel Ltd today reported an increase in profit by 44 per cent at Rs 1898.85 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2008 as compared to Rs 1318.56 crore posted for the corresponding quarter a year ago.

The group reported a total income of Rs 7929.95 crore for the same quarter up by 46.88 per cent when compared to Rs 5398.77 crore posted for the corresponding quarter previous year.

The company's profit for the financial year 2008 stood at Rs 6395.38 crore as compared to Rs 4062.01 crore posted for the previous year.

Total Income has increased from Rs 18,532.11 crore to Rs 27,291.85 crore for the year ended March 31, 2008.
