BSNL would offer GSM services to its customers in East Zone with Haier's 'WoW' models

New Delhi, Sep 18 Chinese company Haier today said it has partnered with state run telecom operator BSNL for its GSM services in East zone.

"Today the company enters East with a strategic partnership with the giant BSNL," said a Haier statement.

The areas being covered are Bihar, Jharkhand, Orissa, West Bengal, Kolkata, Assam and North East

The partnership brings ‘Wow’ which brings the enhanced FM capable phones to these markets. The aim is to bring connectivity with compelling features to the Urban, Semi-urban and District towns of Eastern India, added the statement.

The company said that BSNL would offer its GSM services to its customers in east zone with Haier's 'WoW' models.

Wow – Color FM phone with FM on Loudspeaker. The phone book memory can handle 500 contacts with three numbers for each contact effectively making a storage capacity of 500 x 3. This phone is available Rs. 1699/-

Arun Khanna, Vice Chairman & Managing Director, hinted at the forthcoming offerings from Haier Mobile and stressed how they would be creating new standards in design; with a self-sufficient dedicated Design Cell and the new R&D Centers with a bench-strength of over 300.

Haier Mobile the fastest growing brand and the country’s second largest name in CDMA recently announced the launch of an array of three GSM phones. Handsets which make a clear statement of the Brand’s arrival in the open market. Giving the consumer choice in areas that have practically not existed earlier. The three GSM Phones are: ‘Wow’, ‘Twinn’ and ‘Double’, the latter two are Active Double GSM Phones.

And now the company enters East with a strategic partnership with the giant BSNL.
