NEW DELHI, INDIA: HTC, the Taiwan-based HTC Corp., has shipped more than one million units of its Magic smartphone since its launch worldwide.
Powered by Google’s open-source Android OS, the HTC Magic features the conventional HTC form factor with a tablet-shaped design but minus the slide-out keyboard.
HTC, which sells most smartphones with Windows Mobile operating system, has lately started giving more importance to the Android operating system.
The company has recently launched a customized Android smartphone, the Hero, with a unique user interface called Sense.
However, HTC is in for a stiff competition this year as Samsung and Motorola are set to launch their own Android powered devices.
