BANGALORE: IBM has roped in Schneider Electric, a specialist in energy management to set up a Green Enterprise Data Centre t for Bharti Airtel in India.
The contract entails Schneider Electric to complete and hand over the Green Data Centre facility to IBM by March 2009, said a press release.
Speaking about the achievement, Olivier Blum, managing director, Schneider Electric India said, “Data centres have been recognized as one of the major energy consumers in the world. Nearly two per cent of world energy is today being utilized by Data Centres.”
He said Schneider Electric’s products and solutions make energy safe and reliable, while reducing substantially energy costs and impact on environment through energy efficiency.
