NEW DELHI, INDIA: 24x7 Learning, a talent lifecycle management company that delivers end-to-end learning solutions, today announced that A. M. Thimmiya is joining the company as Chief Operating Officer (COO).
In particular, he will head SkillBridge - the employability enhancement program, and AVAGMAH – the continuous learning initiative, lines of business of the company, said a press release.
The Government of Rajasthan and institutes like Noida Institute of Engineering Technology (NIET) and Don Bosco Institute of Technology (DBIT) have chosen SkillBridge training for their students, it added.
AVGAMAH partners with reputed institutes like Thapar University and IMT, Ghaziabad, to offer distance education programs like PGDM and B.Tech for working professionals.
Based in Bangalore, Thimmiya would be working closely with Karthik KS, CEO and Anil Chhikara, president, the release added. He will be involved in developing new growth strategies and oversee overall execution and delivery.
Thimmiya has over 25 years of experience in senior management capacity, heading various strategic business units in the Education and Training Businesses.
Before joining 24x7 Learning, he served as the senior vice president and global head for Channel Operations and Distance Education at Manipal Education, the release said.
Prior to this Thimmiya held senior positions at Aptech Limited, Modi Xerox, and Microland Limited. He was also involved with many state government-led initiatives on training and e-learning.
“Thimmiya’s addition to our management team will provide us the expertise to achieve superlative growth. Thimmiya’s domain knowledge of the education sector and his successful track record of developing strong franchisee networks will play a key role in new strategic initiatives of 24x7 Learning,” said Karthik KS.
