The Enterprise Connect Awards will have a broad turnover classification such as above Rs 1000 crore and below Rs 1000 crore. Each of these categories will have three awards, which will be named as Champion CIO, Gold CIO & Silver CIO.

Apart from the above mentioned awards there will be another set of 6 awards in the following categories:

A Pioneer by having adopted cutting edge/emerging technologies ahead of time
An Innovator by innovating on a existing technology/application for use originally not intended for
An Advocate by contributing towards acceptance of IT within the organization--top management and end users
An Extended Manager by having created value for the business by connecting strategic external stakeholders
A Process Efficient CIO by having created value for the business by connecting strategic external stakeholders
An Eco-Smart CIO by undertaking eco-friendly (Green IT) measures that have benefited the society

Questionnaire:
To be a part of the nomination process, the questionnaire has to be completed by the participants. The questionnaire is divided into three parts, based on the IT Implementation. Part 1 focuses on Planning; Part 2 focuses on Implementation; and Part 3 focuses on the individual category awards.

A score of 250 is assigned for both parts combined.

Selection Method: Enterprise Connect Awards framework is based on
The following is the Awards framework:

  • Leadership, Vision & Mission (includes risk taking ability)
  • Strategic Deployment of IT
  • Business Benefits & Value
  • Pioneering use of technology
  • Innovative use of technology
  • Process Improvements
  • Internal and External customer orientation (understanding business needs)
  • People orientation
  • Green IT

Selection method for Champion CIO of the Year, Gold and Silver

  1. Six companies will be short listed in the Rs 1000 crore and Rs 1000 crore category.
  2. The Jury to make their assessment based on the questionnaires short-listed by CIOL Research Team.
  3. Jury to discuss each company and individually rate all nine parameters on a score of 10 each/parameter.
  4. To arrive at a shortlist of three companies based on the scores.
  5. Panel to discuss the three companies, and the Jury Chairman to decide on the Champion, Gold and Silver winners.

Selection method for Individual Awards

  1. For the individual awards the participants in the below and above Rs 1000-crore categories will be clubbed.
  2. Four / five companies will be short listed under each one of the categories.
  3. The Jury to discuss and qualify them individually and rate each parameter on a score of 10/parameter.
  4. Jury to discuss on individual categories and the Chairman of Jury to decide on the winner.

NOTE:
No CIO will win two awards. The moment a CIO wins an award, he gets disqualified from participating in the remaining awards.
