Canon''s eCopy solution for Document Management
The solution Improves document distribution and integration

Canon India, a Digital Imaging Company, has launched eCopy Share Scan Open Platform solution. With the help of this solution that integrates electronic paper document distribution with Canon device, one can bridge the gap between the worlds of digital and paper documents. By using the Canon eCopy solution, high-resolution electronic copies of black & white or color paper documents can be distributed over the network to a specific destination in seconds.

"With the eCopy Suite of products and the high-speed scanning capability of your Canon black & white or color digital multi functional devices, organisations can improve document distribution and transform paper documents into information that is easily integrated into all business applications.” says Som Gangopadhyay, Director- Business Imaging Solutions Division, “ The eCopy Suite provides a simple, easy-to-use solution for extending the use of your Canon digital imaging system, while leveraging your investment in the corporate network infrastructure."

eCopy provides organizations with the facility to scan and distribute black & white or color paper documents allowing for wide adoption and a quicker return on investment. Preview of this scanned image gives users assurance they've scanned the right document. It enables a digital MFD's scanning function to be shared within departmental or enterprise networks and business applications like documentum, open text etc. Native integration with corporate mail systems like Lotus Notes, Microsoft Exchange, or SMTP/LDAP allows IT managers to seamlessly maintain address books and easy integration with document management systems from the MFD's or at the desktop.
