BANGALORE, INDIA: The board of directors of Sonata Software Limited declared a special interim dividend of 100 percent at its meeting held in Mumbai.
The record date for the purpose of payment would be December 29, 2008. The board had already declared a 50 percent interim dividend after the first half of this financial year. This takes the total dividend to 150 percent for the financial year 2008-09 as compared to 110 percent for the previous financial year 2007-08.
The special interim dividend is in commemoration of Sonata’s 10 years of listing. In the light of this special dividend, no final dividend is intended to be recommended for the financial year 2008-09.
