French Postal Service Operator, DISIT, chooses 3Com for 7000 post offices across the country

BANGALORE, INDIA: 3Com Corporation announced that DISIT, the operator for various parts of La Poste group, selected 3Com and its H3C enterprise networking solutions as part of the DSL rollout in its Post Offices. DISIT will deploy H3C MSR 20-13 and 20-15 multi-service routers in 7000 of La Poste's post offices.

DISIT's objective was to improve the security as well as the performance and communications of the wireless network. 3Com therefore proposed a high-performance routing solution that was capable of integrating new functionality for La Poste in a very short time, adds a press release.

"3Com proposed a range of routing products that met our requirements, both in terms of functionality and costs. The company's involvement and responsiveness during the qualification phase, together with their wide range of routing, switching, security and services solutions convinced us that here was an opportunity to build together a lasting, high-performance relationship," said Alexandre Le Pors, Director of Studies at La Poste DISIT.

"It's a very good thing for us to have been able to respond to the needs of a group such as La Poste," said Jerome Larchet, Country Manager of 3Com in France. "At 3Com, we are attentive to the needs of our customers and we study each request on a case-by-case basis to provide the best possible solution."
