Efforts of Chandigarh administration are praiseworthy but similar efforts are desired in the field of IT education as well. IGNOU has tried to set up a Regional Centre but UTadministration has not provided any space so far. Setting up of Regional Centre means availability of excllent infrastructurefor the use of existing learners. It woud have opened new vistas for so many who can not afford costly education. But alas...Is there anyone to listen?I as Regional Director have been trying to step in for the sake of distance learners enrolled and asizable population of learners with lesser means. Only five acres would have been sufficient for IGNOU Regional Centre. ANYONE WHO CAN HELP ??
