Fraud levels increasing as eco crisis hits

Rise in crime driving need for anti-money laundering and customer screening

UK: Fraud levels are increasing as the global economic crisis hits, placing additional pressures on financial institutions and law firms to have the proper Know-Your-Customer and Anti-Money Laundering systems in place, according to compliance and screening specialists Datanomic Ltd.

According to the National Fraud Strategic Authority, fraud is on the increase in the UK with further rises amid the turmoil in the banking industry.
