To Shri. C. Mahalingam, Chief People Officer, M/s. Symphony Services Corporation. Dear sir, Ref: Your article in TOI dt. 14.7.08 on "Know yourself, your business, your boss" I had gone through the above article. It is very very very true in my case. I had worked around 20 years in Accounts, Admn & taxation fields with around 15 employers. Till today & now I am employable. I worked for a period of from ONE DAY to SIX YEARS in around 15 companies. I had seen more than 15 Managing Directors in my experience. I had done many many good jobs & solved, sorted out their unsolvable problems & disputes with govt. authorities by my own efforts & saved lakhs of rupees to them. But return is zero to me, no gratitutde atleast apartfrom praising & honouring something. I had taken over lot of challenging jobs like this with every company, which I come accross. Coming to their attitude, behaviour, mentality are one & the same with little bit difference. No one can show continuity of interest in my service to recognise the quality of work & quantity of work, honesty & integrity & they did not come forward to apply retention rule when I was ready to quit. Their intention is to go for fresh legs every time when I feel to leave. In all the companies where I worked are having highest attrition values among employees. They treat employees have come for work to get money likely treated us as reputed beggars. Of course, I had reached higher levels from lower levels ie from Accounts Asst. level to Accounts Manager levels (salary drawn Rs.20000/-) only when I started moving from one co. to another co. like rolling stone. I knew rolling stone loses its weight but what should I do, I should come up with considering five ps ( power, position, productivity , pay & prospects). Now, again I am employable (unemployed) why? Because of not liking syndrome of the employers qualities, behaviours, attitudes. In life atmost we can divorce once in a life time or we cannot divorce & get adusted but we can give divorce to co. number of times & remarry no. of times till we get adjusted or till we try to learn to become like them. Thank you for writing wonderful golden article. Thanks & Regards C.H. Ravishankar Prasad Dear sir, Sub: Referring to your
