Delivering a lecture on Practicing Project Management in Agile Scrum Environment at spark IT 2010 here today, Chandrasekaran added that a product manager could work as an enterprise scrum manager and take up higher responsibilities as a senior manager.

He briefed the session with the advantages and the challenges in agile and scrum environment.

Chandrasekaran concluded the session with a story of the wolf and the elephant. The wolf and elephant go to a farm everyday and wolf howls once he is done with eating, without waiting for the elephant to finish eating. As a result, the elephant gets beaten up by the farmers. While on their way back to the forest elephant, who was giving ride to the wolf over the river, chooses to ignore the wolf and takes a dip in the river.

He said, considering the wolf as an agile/scrum product manager, the top management in the company can act as the elephant of the story if the agile manager does something stupid.
