Dealing with zipping in Linux, Ubuntu

The tip deals with handling zip/unzip issues in Linux, Ubuntu systems

When your repository is large, i.e. over 2GB and you do a bulk export, it will fail. The reason is that the zip/unzip Linux utilities cannot deal with large files (greater than 2GB that is). When running under Ubuntu server, the zipping fails, but under Ubuntu server 64, there are no issues, either with zip or rar.
