WATERTOWN, USA: Snowbound Software, creater of imaging SDKs, web viewers, and batch conversion applications for Java, Windows, .NET, and UNIX, announced its Zero for Zero Developer Challenge recently.
Snowbound is looking to reward the company that enters the most innovative and effective application for its VirtualViewer AJAX Zero Footprint viewer with a free copy of the software.
VirtualViewer AJAX provides a true zero footprint viewing option for either JAVA or .NET. It quickly retrieves and converts files from their native format to a temporary PNG or JPEG, making documents and images viewable via any web browser regardless of file format or operating system.
It also provides powerful processing capabilities regardless of platform or location; this enables end-users to view and annotate documents by using AJAX technology to make dynamic requests of the repository. Because VirtualViewer AJAX automatically converts files for viewing on the web in virtually any browser, it eliminates the need for client installations, plug-ins, or digital certification.
Contest participants will need to outline a specific file viewing problem or pain point and propose an innovative solution that would employ the zero footprint viewer. The winning entry will build on the benefits delivered by VirtualViewer AJAX, leverage the technology to solve the problem and enhance the viewing of documents and images to expedite critical business processes.
A panel of judges will review the entries and select the one that presents the most interesting and effective use for Snowbound's AJAX viewer.
The winning entry will receive:
