BANGALORE, INDIA: Search engine giant, Google,recently has been revamping its feature-set for the mobile browsing community.

After announcing the new enhanced version of Gmail for the iPhone and Android devices, Google announced that it has introduce an improved beta version of iGoogle for the same.

A blog posted by Dan Zivkovic and Zhen Wang, Software Engineers, Google mobile team said that the new version of iGoogle is faster and easier to use. It also supports tabs and gadgets by built by third-party users.

Terming this new feature as an information snack , the engineers mentioned, “iGoogle is so convenient on mobile devices. When you're waiting in line, you can check iGoogle on your phone for a quick "info snack" — even in areas with mediocre network coverage.”

This new version on mobile has got a new feature that enables in-line display of articles for feed-based gadgets.

Another blog by Matthew Bolohan and Andrew Grieve, Software Engineers, Google Mobile, said that they have introduce two improvements to speed up the Gmail for mobile experience.

Google has enabled keyboard shortcuts for Android-powered devices with a physical keyboard to enable the use of Gmail keyboard shortcuts to quickly move through your inbox and faster address auto-completion, that allows faster access to all mobile contacts.

The new version of iGoogle for mobile is available in 38 languages.
