PASADENA, USA: Windows hosting leader, DiscountASP.NET announces support for Microsoft's newly released Web Deployment Tool 1.0, also known as MSDeploy on their Windows 2008 hosting platform.

The Web Deployment Tool significantly improves the web deployment experience for developers hosting at DiscountASP.NET. The tool allows developers to package their web application configurations and content, including databases, and to use the packages for both deployment and archiving said the press release.

With feature delegation support, DiscountASP.NET customers can deploy their application packages to the web and SQL servers using IIS Manager without requiring administrative privileges, including the ability to set folders as an application starting point.

The tool also supports the management of parameter changes between development, staging and production environments, for example, updating of the database connection string. During application deployment only files that has changed is synchronized saving both time and bandwidth.

"Over the last couple years, Microsoft has focused on improving the web deployment scenario. Last year, in partnership with Microsoft, we offered a free Web Deployment Tool hosting sandbox for developers to test and provide early feedback on MSDeploy." said Takeshi Eto, VP Marketing and Business Development at DiscountASP.NET.
