"Many companies live and die based on their search engine rankings, but since flash content can be difficult for search engines to ingest, video pages are often not search engine friendly," says Mark Robertson, founder of ReelSEO.com.
"With the new Video SEO SDK, Ooyala is giving control to developers and publishers to create video landing pages, rich with textual metadata, which can have a greater chance of being indexed and ranked for relevant search queries," added Robertson.
"The goal of the SDK is to develop a flexible framework for companies to be able to create video pages that are more discoverable by search engines," said Alex Holub, senior product manager.
"By improving the discoverability of video, publishers will be able to increase total video engagement and revenue," concluded Holub.
