READING, UK: C2C, provider of data, file and email management solutions has announced that it has extended the benefits of its Archive One for SharePoint.

The latest version provides a connector that runs in parallel with the other recently announced connectors of Notes/Domino and Microsoft Windows File Systems.

The new Archive One edition can be installed as another application connector alongside email and file archiving solutions provided by C2C. The data can all be stored in a single repository, or be separated by recognition of the data type, or organizing data by logical departmental units (such as finance or human resources) each with its own repository regardless of the type of data.

The latest version of Archive One for SharePoint incorporates enhanced information retention management features to enable customers to apply consistent data management across their organization. It can be used to put items on hold, apply tags (notes) to them, and cross reference many litigation issues, which, in today’s litigious age, enables legal or compliance officers to manage the vast amount of data held in conjunction with cases.

“This release fully demonstrates the innovation, flexibility and strength behind our design of Archive One, since it incorporates multiple application platforms in a single architectural solution,” said Dave Hunt, CEO at C2C.

“Effective records management requires that the same consistent level of policy enforcement and retention management be applied to email messages, documents, and collaboration data so that it remains accessible and auditable throughout the lifetime of the data,” he added.

Archive One for SharePoint provides flexible automated data management, building on C2C’s foundation of data searching and intelligent actions to carry out mass actions across different types of data to assist in compliance, legal discovery and storage capacity management.

Administrators do not need to archive data before applying a command, such as copy, move, delete, classify, compress, archive, or un-archive and Archive One is capable of data processing speeds of one million messages per hour.
