KOLKATA, INDIA: Infotech giant Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) will soon start construction work on its 40-acre campus at Rajarhat in West Bengal's North 24 Parganas district, Industry Minister Partha Chatterjee said Wednesday.
"The government's focus is to create high-end jobs here. The company will soon start the work in first phase," Chatterjee told reporters here after meeting TCS CEO and managing director N. Chandrasekaran.

"The company said they are already doing high-end work from their Kolkata office," he said.
The new campus is expected to create 16,000 jobs.
TCS has about 15,000 IT professionals on its rolls in over eight centres in Kolkata. In Bhubaneswar, the company currently employs 5,000 people.
