BANGALORE, INDIA: Cloud and virtualization player Citrix Systems announced the appointment of Parag Arora as director of sales- Enterprise and Public Sector for the India subcontinent.
In his new role, Parag will drive Citrix’s business and growth initiatives amongst enterprise and public sector customers in the region.
Sanjay Deshmukh, area vice president, Citrix Systems India, said, “India is a highly strategic market for Citrix and is one of the fastest growing regions worldwide. We have seen a high adoption by large enterprises and PSU customer organizations of our solution which have enabled mobile work styles and cloud services for them. Parag’s appointment fortifies our focus on this market and we are confident that he will leverage his strong business development experience & knowledge of the Enterprise & PSU segment to further strengthen our business.”
As part of the role, Parag will also spearhead various senior business and IT executive engagements and consult businesses to achieve higher productivity through transformational IT initiatives. Parag will also be responsible to leaverage the strategic partnerships that Citrix has already set up with large system integration companies and platform vendors to drive solutions based on Citrix technologies for target customer segments, says a release.

Companies today want to make information technology more simple and accessible for enterprises through mobile work styles and cloud services and Citrix is uniquely positioned to address this trend” said Parag Arora. “I look forward to exploiting these dynamic industry opportunities and strengthening Citrix’s pre-eminent position amongst Indian enterprises”.
With a career spanning 16 years in the IT industry, Parag was last associated with Cisco Systems as vice president – BFSI segment. Prior to this, he was the business manager- Financial Services Industry at Hewlett Packard. Parag is a PGP from IIM Bangalore.
