BANGALORE: Aventail Corp., a leading SSL VPN product company, is expanding its channel partnership with Almasa Network Solutions. Almasa already serves as Aventail’s distributor in the Middle East and will now provide distribution services and key technical support to Aventail’s growing base of resellers and customers in India, such as iGATE, Marico Industries, Tesco, and Wipro.
Together, Aventail and Almasa will offer a three-level support system with systems integrators, Almasa and Aventail providing sales and support to all Aventail customers.
Gurpreet Singh Sangha, Country Manager, Almasa Network Solutions, said: "The Aventail secure remote access solution is a perfect compliment to our other product offerings, and with our relationships with leading system integrators across India, Almasa will help Aventail make inroads into unexplored markets and win over the competition. Both, our enterprise and SMB customers need an affordable solution that provides absolute security and protection, and the Aventail SSL VPN does just that."
Ajay Kumar, country sales manager for Aventail in India, added: "Almasa is a leading provider of networking solutions and carries some of the best brands in this space, offering a wide range of products our channel partners will want to sell. By leveraging their expertise in this field and the relationship we have with them in the Middle East, we intend to increase our footprint in India."
The security market is the fastest growing market in India, and the SSL VPN space is a key part of the overall security industry. IDC, the premier global provider of market intelligence, forecasts the SSL VPN industry will reach nearly US $900 million by 2009 and ranks Aventail as number two in the global market.
Aventail’s SSL VPN is a scalable, enterprise class, clientless solution based on Aventail’s proven Smart SSL VPN platform. Aventail’s clustering and high availability support with load-balancing is an ideal solution for 1,000 or more users.
The secure application platform is designed to provide practical, easy-to-use anywhere access to Web, client/server and file shares from any device combined with simple manageability and usability. All of this makes it a clear alternative to IPSec-based VPNs. Many of Aventail’s customers worldwide are replacing legacy IPSec solutions with the Aventail SSL VPN in order to have one solution for all remote access scenarios.
