Last year, the company posted a gross revenue of Rs. 30 crore across West Bengal and Sikkim and the company expects to cross Rs. 80 crore by the end of the FY. iServe is the sole authorized regional distributor of Dell laptops in the XPS, Studio and Inspiron range. Although the company is keen on adding more channel partners, it is focusing on maintaining consistency in the market.
“Demand always crosses the supply in the market as far as Dell laptops are concerned. One has to place the order first and make requisite payments before stock is delivered to the channel partner. This ensures that business is conducted on a supply-demand basis and not in terms of credit,” said Pinky Rathi, iServe.
Sources in the company suggested that Dell has grown fast and has eaten into the marketshare of
HP and Compaq. The company has also penetrated well across market verticals.
“We are ensuring that our partners are well looked after and there are minimal issues. Presently, we have 350 partners and are satisfied with their performance. At this moment, although we are looking to expand our channel base, we are not hunting for partners. Trade consistency has been the key to our success and we thank our partners for this,” Rathi concluded.
i-Serve is directly dealing with channel partners all across Bengal. However, in Sikkim, the company is refraining from billing the partners directly and is routing the supplies through its Siliguri partners.
