Quadsel sets up POC center for networking

The company has invested around Rs. 70-80 lakh for setting up the POC to infuse professionalism into their service offerings

CHENNAI, INDIA: Quadsel Systems has come up with its own Proof of Concept (POC) center, which is dedicated for end-to-end networking solutions.

The company has invested around Rs. 70-80 lakh in the 180sq ft room set-up, which has blade servers, SAN boxes, WAN optimization, Itanium servers, virtualization solutions, Microsoft Exchange, etc.

"The whole idea of this POC center is to enable the touch-and-feel of the solutions to the customers. They can come here center and understand the applications and functionality, before deploying them in their organizations," said Girish Madhavan, MD, Quadsel Systems.

Girish claims that this move of setting up the POC has come from Quadsel in order to give a professional approach towards the business. "Today we are able to give a professional approach to the customer. This set-up will also give us an opportunity to understand the requirements of the customer, as things are explained practically," Madhavan claimed. He also said that the customers have shown keen interest in this center. Quadsel has appointed two people to take care of the POC exclusively.

Besides this, the company is also providing solutions on the software as a service (SaaS) model and has started billing for couple of clients after completing the testing successfully. "We want escalate this by providing ERP and CRM solutions on a service model," he informed.

Madhavan said that the company has been focusing more on the Value Page Program (VPP) for the HP’s multi-functional printers, where the solution provider would charge the customers only for the paper charges on a monthly basis. "This service would save the capital investment on the printers for our customers.

They would be charged only for the paper cost which is 40-45 paisa per page and the cost would vary according to the volume required by the customers," he said.

The company has also started providing knowledge management solution, data repository solutions and enhanced its focus in the open source.

"We don’t see much challenge in getting the orders, however the challenge lies in the collection of payments due to the overall cash crunch. Now we have changed our business strategies during this recession time and working more on the solutions that would provide more RoIs to the customers," Madhavan averred.
