Explaining the rationale behind this, Akash Sutane, VP—Thin Client Division, Panache, shared that the company will not be opening retail showrooms for the thin client solution but instead, it will tie up with new channel partners in India and internationally, for displaying and promoting new Intel atom thin client product, in the latter's showroom. “Being the largest manufacturer in the embedded technologies, our main focus will be on the distributors and the channel partners. Novell is our national distributor for the embedded OAS and it plays a big role in rapid development of our products,” said Sutane.
Commenting on the qualities that Panache is looking for channel partners, Sutane said, thin client is the fastest growing product currently in the market. In turn, they are looking out for an open architecture and the channel partners strength to deal with the competition.
“We have made our quarterly target for the West zone, where we will be appointing 150 to 200 partners and are in talks with the international distributors. Our target is to appoint four to five distributors in each country,” added Sutane.
Currently Panache is holding talks with Sri Lanka, United Kingdom, United States and Australia for the international tie up.
Sutane clarified that they are also planning to hold channel meets and roadshows which will help them in building relation-ship with the channel partners. According to Sutane, Panache plays a big role in customization related to hardware and software solutions.
